Philip Schouten and Yvette van Steenwijk are the owners of SvS horses. After obtaining experience for many years at different yards, the time had come to set up our own business.

“As we each have our own specialisations, we complement each other very well. We run SvS horses with modern stable management and our aim is to train and look after our horses in a respectful way. Our horses undergo a clinical and radiological examination, so you can be assured that you buy a sound and healthy horse from us that should give you a lot of pleasure.”

Philip is a qualified equestrian instructor (NHB Deurne) and experienced show jumper. For many years he has worked as a rider for various stables in Holland and abroad, and competed many different horses at show jumping competitions, from cool rascals to sensitive stallions. With his calm riding style he is always looking for the right balance between horse and rider. Philip mainly focuses on producing show jumpers and in addition he is specialised in breaking and schooling young horses.

Yvette is an experienced rider and has already produced many horses and has competed successfully at the Dutch Z1, Z2 and ZZL dressage levels. She is also a fully qualified ORUN instructor.
Yvette is responsible for the daily training of the dressage horses. She has a good eye for the further development of a horse and is always looking for new talented horses with good pedigrees that will be offered for sale again after a period of schooling.
